Mike Tyson Vs. Me - Part 2

Mike Tyson = 12

Vs.

Me = 9

Gave it my all 'till my energy tank was way past E
Entered fearlessly the dragon's den like Bruce Lee
Fought to make it with rage 'till I couldn't clearly see
Pushed to the limit 'till I couldn't recognize the real me

For every missteps taken 'till the end, my pride paid a fee
Worked tirelessly for A+ 'till the fruit of my labour yield D
Almost sold my soul during training to reach my success key
Glamour ain't a thing 'till happiness inhabit within me

Month of May was drama 'till a pebble in my shoe was set free
Lived to fight another day 'till my two fingers show the sign V
Still I rise, dust myself off to try again 'till I can catch some ZZZ
I'm ready for a rematch in June so I can yell: "I did it, oui!"

I Thank You

With opened arms, I welcome every nations
Near, far and to you all just around the block
Pure curiosity, word of mouth or sheer luck
brought your eyes to this blog without a knock

To see pictures or to read poems, you've flock
Through this journey you've been solid as a rock
Since 2007, shared my life quacking like a duck

With your precious time spent reading the lines of my mind

Stop That Train-ing

"It is better to have tried and failed than to have failed to try..." -- Mike Dennison

"Better to save the world then to move them by train..." -- Louis Mercier

Time to move on up, legs don't fail me now 'cause I was born to try! After nearly seven weeks at the driver's seat of a training, the toughest part for me will be to stop trying, as I pursue other ventures.

Dedicated to Lyons: "You can always start and try, but trying to stop once you are committed, determined and focus during your task will remain the hardest part;)"

Running For President

On the count of three, come make my sunny day
Travel back to where my smile wasn't fragile clay
Eye for an eye wasn't a nation currency to pay
Black people's issues didn't need Oprah's "Oy vey!"
Women fear of family's judgment flew out the way
Men made world financial debt burned in the sun's ray

We never said die, to give up hope on ourselves, no way
Hand in hand united we once stood by the sunset bay
Sending childhood love text in azure bottle every day
We forgot about the menacing global warming, as we lay
Sexual healing smooth the stressful upbringing highway

Vote for the lesser evil to cure hunger, you use to say
I'll gladly vote for myself to have you in my life everyday
To make love by the sound of the pouring rain, we play
Heaven must exist in children's laughter, so they say
Be a star, conquer procrastination before the end of May
On the count of three, wave to happiness and say: "Hey!"
To dream of a pure one heart beat democracy, someday
An angle in dandelions disguise, by my side, is still M.I.A.

Nine Longevity Secrets Revealed

Note to myself:

According to Dan Buettner, author of Thrive: Finding Happiness the Blue Zones way.

A list to add better years to your life

1. Slow down : Work less, rest and take vacations. Relaxation is key, take time to relieve stress. Cut out noise and limit time spent with the television, computer or radio on.

2. Keep moving : Find ways to move naturally, such as walking, running, gardening. Identify activities you enjoy and make them a regular part of your day.

3.
Find purpose : When you find your purpose, pursue it with passion. Write your own personal mission statement. Take up a new challenge like learning a language or an instrument.

4.
Stop eating when you're 80% full : Reduce calorie consumption at dinner by 20 to 30%. Use smaller plates, bowls and glasses. Sit and eat your meals.

5. Dine on plants : Eat more veggies and less meat and processes foods. You don't need to become a vegetarian but increase your intake of fruits and veggies, beans, rice and tofu. Have a two-ounce handful of nuts daily.

6.
Drink red wine : Do it consistently but in moderation. Two serving a day or less. The plant compounds found in red wine and the skin of dark grapes help reduce heart disease risk.

7.
Join a group : Create a healthy social network. Identify your inner circle, ovoid ties with people who bring you down.

8.
Feed your soul : Engage in spiritual activities. Deepen your existing spiritual commitment.

9.
Love your tribe : Make family a high priority. Establish family walks and Sunday dinners. Create a place for family pictures and souvenirs that show how you're all connected.

Fight The Power Within

I have the power of self-respect within me
Beyond the white clouds my spirit roam free
Popcorn with a smile, at the movies I found thee
Where lovers meet to rest their happy feet
Watching bees mate from the back middle seat

Selfish avarice is the route of evil, is that clear!
True love shall overcome one day, is very near
The power to conquer our deepest secret fears
Bona fide common sense that can't be bought at Sears
Sunday's best in church to listen, but never can hear
Lack of faith in oneself brings nature to painful tears
Man's self-worship to be swallowed with a cold bear
They hunt to kill a trained dog that bit my rear
Born from amore, the hound's rage didn't just appear!
The enemy isn't only Santa with his long beard
Weapon of mass destruction is a TV set held near
Tarnished the truth for profit like a worn-out gear
Zombie farming, through religion government steer
Fight fight fight fight fight the evil within, is that clear!
We are puppets without string, revolution 2.0 is here
When it's all said and done, hate dust will soon clear
May God bless lovers sitting at the theatre, my beloved dear

PS: You murder three, he assassinates twenty-three
You massacre his entire family, he annihilates a nation
You kill his dreams, he slaughters...
Where does it all end, when the last man stand?
What good will he or you ever gain, all alone then?
Zombie you are not! Make love not war. Alive you are!

Color Your World

Imagine living in a color blind ad peaceful world
Unfolding bold marketing concept with profit goal
Albino children shouldn't be left lonely, bitter and cold
Where content of the mind is worth more then its mold
Melanin pigment of the skin won't really be an issue
Obsidian women in Africa would sell white ad tissue

Imagine fathers had said: "Baby, I really miss you!"
"More then morning dew, I love no other than you
Take my hand, let's walk under the sky blue
How fast? How far? How long? I don't have a clue"
"As long as I wake up each morning with you
Here's a tissue for the lonely tears stuck like glue
Forever, I still do, you are my one dream come true"

Imagine heaven suddenly calls to a secret plan
Before you could lose your cherry, time ends
"Ah man! I had p.y.t. in the palm of my hand"
Candle light dinner with Luther on track ten
Violets and cologne 'cause you're a gentleman
Lucinda smiles, shaped like an hour glass sand
Spanish Harlem heated kisses like no one can
Perfect timing for her favorite condom brand
"Aie Papi!", The ballad music is about to end
"Tómame ahora por favor", black out, just when...
Certainly, God must be a stand up comedian
At the gate, Molière wish to share his fountain pen
for Lucinda's lavender scented purple hair band
A white tissue is better suited for your amen groan
but no one here cares or could really understand

Imagine living life in every breath minus the weekday back pain
Multiplied by endless bliss, bountiful of joy flowing in your vain
Singing sweet nothing, while adding tap dancing in the poring rain
Divided from work and sleep can drive anyone literally insane
All we need to escape reality is a symphony from her sugar cane
A moment in time to pour sparkling champagne in a white tissue

Mike Tyson Vs. Me

Mike Tyson = 4
Vs.
Me = 1

Will Smith once sang: "I think I can beat Mike Tyson".
In other words, in the ring of life, we all have a huge mountain to climb
or a worthy opponent good for a humongous face to face whooping.

My Mike Tyson fight is with my To Do list staring right back on my desk.
This weekend, no matter how close my back came to touching the corner rope
Mr. Tyson, is no match against my focus determination fighting style

Jab, jab, jab, uppercut 'cause Mamma didn't raise no quitter!
I may be down 3 rounds, bet against me if you will.
But, this Lion isn't scared or going out with a good fight;)

Shout out to American Apparel, RIM
to every dreamer fighting with pride and heart!
Keep your head and your gloves up!
Ding Ding! Got to get back to my "list"
See you on the other side of that hill.

Achoo, I feel it too B.;)
